Meet the Cinematographer

Hi, I’m Cody. I'm a Taos-based cinematographer who got into this the old-fashioned way — by shooting everything I could get my hands on. Today I work with brands, creators, and filmmakers across the Four Corners on projects that demand a professional eye without a large production footprint.

  • Commercials, branded content, creator documentaries, and small-crew film productions. I work with local businesses, regional brands, content creators, and independent filmmakers — anything that calls for a professional cinematic look without a large production team.

  • Absolutely. A lot of my best work starts with nothing more than a general idea. I'm happy to get on a call early in the process, help you think through the concept, and figure out what you actually need before we ever set foot on location.

  • Both. I offer full end-to-end production — from pre-production planning through shooting and into editing, color grading, and final delivery. If you need a finished product, I can get you there.

  • Every project is different, so I work on a custom quote basis rather than a fixed rate. Factors like shoot days, travel, gear needs, and post-production scope all play into it. I'm straightforward about pricing and happy to work within a realistic budget — reach out and we'll figure out what makes sense.

  • Two to four weeks is ideal for most projects, though I can sometimes accommodate shorter timelines depending on availability. For larger productions or projects with specific location permits, earlier is always better.

  • Yes — I'm based in Taos but regularly work throughout the Four Corners region, including Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Durango, Moab, and beyond. Travel is a normal part of how I work and can be factored into your project quote.

  • It's a big part of what I do. Some of my favorite projects have been for small businesses and local brands in Taos and across northern New Mexico and southern Colorado who needed professional video but didn't have a massive budget to throw at it.   • Yes, and honestly it's where I'm most at home. The Four Corners region is one of the most visually stunning places in the country, and I'm experienced shooting in remote, rugged, and unpredictable environments. If your project takes us off the beaten path, that's not a problem — it's a plus.
